Colours of Penang

A nice cold drink is always a must in tropical countries like Malaysia, what I love most is what we call 'Teh Peng' the local version of milk tea similar to bubble cup but without the pearls .. 
 

Now this is called Lobak ( Lor-bak) a deep fried chinese version of mince meat with some shallots wrapped with beancurd or sometimes pork 

 Hainanese Chicken Rice

Convolvulus (Kankung aka water spinach) with Squid and Hoi Sin sauce mixed with chili paste and dressed with sesame seed. Penang always has its charms on me, as a local I might not be the greatest fan of the hot and humid weather but its such a vibrant and colourful city with such rich history and beauty.

Thank god for pools here, first thing i did when i got home was pigging out followed with a quick dip in the pool to relieve myself of the crazy hot weather.

Ahhh home sweet home!

Lego pieces

The capped internet plan was unkind last week, a rather severe internet withdrawal kicked in. Oh the boredom, we've evolved these days with such reliance on the internet that we've forgotten the joys of doing things the way we used to. I found myself kicking back with a cup of tea and painting; relaxing like how I used to without going online. A truly invigorating experience I must say! So much more productive and lots of me time! 

We visited the Lego exhibition a while ago, by Nathan Sawaya. What an artist! Just take a look the work he's done below

 

One thing I love about the sorta cold weather is layering up and not getting too warm. with my favorite sweater!!
